FSO400 Theory of Flight Fundamentals

Students will prepare a Power Point Presentation with voiceover that describes the 4 Forces of Flight (Thrust/Lift/Weight/Drag). They will also describe the dangers of surface contamination and the role Flight Attendants play in alerting the Pilots to surface contamination. This assignment will be worth 20% of their final mark and will be due on June 24th. PowerPoint Presentation Your presentation should be a minimum of 8 slides and a maximum of 10 in length. Have some fun with this presentation, BE CREATIVE!! You must include a voiceover that narrates each slide.  Identify and describe the four forces acting on an aircraft in-flight (Thrust, Lift, Weight, Drag) Explain the dangers of surface contamination and the Flight Attendants role in alerting the Pilots to surface contamination. Identify the main components of an aircraft and describe their function including but not limited to: Wing - leading edge, trailing edge, wing tip, wing root, winglet. Control systems - ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevator. Tail - fixed vertical stabilizer, rudder, elevators; and Miscellaneous - Fuselage, Spoilers/Speed Brakes, Landing Gear Identify and describe the three axes of an aircraft and describe the movement around each – Pitch, Roll, Yaw
