Task: One-hour presentations by groups of three students, focussing on a specificbehaviour modification strategy for a particular target behaviour.Your clinical team of three ‘behavioural therapists’ will be referred a ‘client’ presenting with a ‘problem’requiring a mental health intervention/treatment. ?Drawing upon the material you learnt in this course, your textbook and closely following ‘process of behaviour therapy’, your clinical team will design atreatment program for your referred ‘client’, which you will present to the your behavioural therapistcolleagues (i.e., the class) in a one-hour seminar case presentation?.Important things about your Clinical Team’s Client Case Presentation:I will be looking for your team of clinicians’ excellent understanding of behaviour modification theory andprinciples. I am expecting that your clinical team ‘bring your client to life’ and present a wellthought-out, well-described, plausible treatment plan/intervention for the client whom you have beenreferred.Have fun with it!? Once you have covered the basics of what your team is asked to cover, feel free to be ascreative as our virtual platform will allow. For example, students in the past have used different presentationapps besides PowerPoint, such as Prezi or Google Slides; as well, some students have had great success inengaging the audience with “Kahoot!” or other learning tools. Just do make sure that you practice ahead oftime to ensure that you don’t encounter problems.Stay close to the hour! More than 10 minutes under or over the hour will mean points lost. Please provide me with a summary of your presentation on of just before your presentation for me to useas a point of reference. (This could be text from your slideshow)Generate a 5-Question QuizIn addition to your client case presentation, your clinical team will create 5 multiple choice questions totest the audience on their understanding of the material you presented.? Each question you make up willhave 5 answer options (i.e., A,B,C,D,E) – each question will be written to have only one correct answer. Yourteam will email me your 5 questions, either before, or immediately following, your team’s presentation.Failure to do so will cost you’re a week’s quiz grade.I will post the quiz on our e-class page by noon the next day. Students will then have one-hour and one weekto complete the quiz.Helpful Tips and HintsBuild upon your client’s referral information - make your ‘client’ “come to life” for your audience.Elaborate and clarify your clients’ presenting ‘problem’ - its history and how they came to be referred to yourclinical team. If your client referral includes a ‘formal DSM 5 diagnosis’, begin to refer to this as you moveforward with the steps of the ‘process of behaviour therapy’ and development of your treatment plan.Move through the ‘process of behaviour therapy’ by describing potential the treatment ‘goals’ in line with yourclient’s presenting problem/DSM-5 diagnosis – what is the client’s goal for therapy?
