Writing Your Assignment:

1. This assignment must be completed individually.
2. You must use the Harvard referencing system.
3. Your work must indicate the number of words you have used. Written assignments must not exceed the specified maximum number of words. When a written assignment is marked, the excessive use of words beyond the word limit is reflected in the academic judgement of the piece of work which results in a lower mark being awarded for the piece of work (regulation 6.74).
4. Assignment submissions are to be made anonymously. Do not write your name anywhere on your work.
5. Write your student ID number at the top of every page.
6. Where the assignment comprises more than one task, all tasks must be submitted in a single document.
7. You must number all pages.

Written Report Instructions

Your organisation is planning a major new IT system upgrade in three months’ time and, in preparation for the event, you have been tasked by your CEO to write an individual ‘consultancy style’ report of 3000 words that addresses the following:

Task 1: Critically analyse the applicability of Lewin’s change theories and how they might be used in the formulation of a change management strategy for the implementation (40%);

Task 2: Using Kotter’s or Prosci Adkar models to evaluate and identify appropriate practical steps that might be used to effectively manage the implementation of the major change described (50%);
