Assessment 1: Evaluating a Business and Management Problem - Management Theory

You may work in groups for developing this piece of the assessment, but the submission must be individual and distinctively different from
other members’ submissions.

Assessment 1 is a written individual report of 2,000 words (+/- 10%) based on evaluating a business and management problem based on material taught in the first 5 weeks of the unit supported with relevant research in the area of management theory. Formative feedback will be provided at points throughout the unit.

A case study outlining the organization and the issues to be considered will be provided. You should include use of the core textbooks.

You will work together to develop your report in the class environment. During the class sessions, you will work to improve your understanding of the management issue identified and evaluate a business and conduct meaningful analysis and develop recommendations for the company by applying appropriate frameworks.

Your assignment will be marked according to the threshold expectations and the criteria on the following page. You can use them to evaluate your own work and consider your grade before you submit.
