What am I required to do in this assignment?
Assignment: This assessment accounts for 60% of the total grade.
For this assignment you are required to work in groups, your group (6 – 8 students, this will be decided by your tutor) are required to produce a project management plan for a suitable project from the list below. You must agree on the project title and scope with your tutor.
The Project Plan will include the use of Project Management tools and techniques studied and discussed in the sessions.
This project plan assessment contains two parts:
Part A (Formative): Group submission of the PowerPoint presentation, whereby feedback will subsequently be provided. Date to be confirmed by tutor. The group submission should make use of Microsoft PowerPoint software, with 15 slides maximum
Part B (Summative): An individual project portfolio document will be developed by you and this is the document which will be assessed. The portfolio document (3,500 words) will contain the project plan with all the elements as required (refer to the marking criteria/marking rubric) as well as describing your contribution to the project and a post-project reflection. Your project plan will take into account the feedback provided by the tutor to the group in the presentation submission and you will revise the elements of the project plan accordingly. You are required to prepare and submit your reflective project plan report through BREO, with clear inclusion of each section (refer to marking rubric) with the group PowerPoint slides included as part of your Appendices.
Document requirements:
·The document must be in Microsoft word format. With Arial 12, line spacing 1.5, and page numbers.
·Add a cover page with Unit name & Code, assignment number & submission deadline, and your name & ID No.
·Create a table of content for each Assignment
·Business Case (which should serve as driver for the group project and document its business justification)
·Project team and their roles;
·Project stages and key deliverables
·Project time management (Work Breakdown Structure; Activity List; Gantt Chart in MS Project; Network Diagram and Critical Path)
·Budget (cost)
·Risk Log/Register
·Quality Plan.
If available a client will provide a project mandate brief for students which will have a defined budget and time frame. If not, students will choose from one of the project topics below (which fall into the project dimensions).
Project Dimensions:
Your selected project must be within the timelime and costing indicated below:
·Time: between 1 to 6 months (tolerance - +/- 2 weeks),
·Cost: between £1000 to £75,000 (+/- £500)

·Educating/training women in the age group of 60-70 to use e-services
·Relocating a manufacturing facility of automobile company from the UK to France
·Organising a blood donation camp in Luton
·Launching of any new product in the market
·Develop a fund raising event for a charity
·Develop a new educational board-game for new skills (example supply chain management and logistics management)
·Create a fund raising event for a renowned charity
·Creating awareness of on-line/web/social media security
·Installing self-check facility in NHS centres in Luton/London

·Evidence an attempt to produce a feasible and viable project plan for a given project mandate using appropriate Project Management tools and techniques.
·Demonstrate some critical understanding and knowledge of developing a project plan for any business.
