The first assessment will be an individually assessed group presentation on a current international supply chain issue from the materials supplied in class and through the module handbook. related to the advanced industrial nations. Individually Assessed Group Presentation constitutes 20% assessment weighting for this module. 

Background of the Assignment Topic: 

Logistics is primarily a military term. so the first applications were in military areas. However, the word's main importance was first understood during World War II and then started to be viewed and applied to logistics as a scientific subject. After World War II. many U.S. enterprise businesses recognized the importance of logistics and started to take advantage of logistics services beginning in 1960 and continuing to the present. 

Businesses gave importance to transportation in order to maintain their existence in a competitive environment. However, length of distances and the importance of time management have been competitive factors, and businesses must act by integrating various transportation systems. As a result. control of transportation systems has become an important factor. Companies have considered transportation as strategically important in order to maintain the speed of their activities and avoid losing their market share.

You are required to prepare 8 - 10 slides for an individually assessed group Presentation Clearly identifying the following: 

Critically evaluate the idea that Logistics has changed the businesses trend and has played significant role during global pandemic to create a new 'normal'. While presenting you are advised to highlight the importance of E-commerce. various theories of supply chain management and different types of logistics which have supported to institutionalise the logistics in supply chain management industry. 
The presentation will be 20 minutes and will be supported by copies of the PowerPoint slides/presentation material with slides/notes to be handed in at the time of the presentation and a list of sources used for reference.
