This assignment allows the student to draw together all of their understanding in relation to sustainability and responsible sourcing of building materials. 

You are provided with an outline design brief for, a domestic development.

As a sustainable construction consultant, you are asked to write a report on the Design process and the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the built environment. You must select materials for the development and recommend building services including renewable technologies. You are to discuss and recommend the materials for the Superstructure, External walls, Roof and Windows.

Evaluate the materials using the different methodologies we have studied and report your findings. You have also been asked to evaluate the impact of BIM on the construction process and how it impacts on the built environment.
