In this assignment, assume that you work for MJD plc, a leadership and management consultancy firm which advises its client organisations on their management practices. A client organisation has asked MJD plc to carry out a review of the way in which its Senior Team functions. You are required to choose this client organisation – it may be an organisation which you actually work for or it may be one with which you are familiar. You have been asked to prepare a report for your chosen client organisation.
Write a report about people management in your chosen client organisation . Your report should focus on motivation and change management and you should :
a. explain two theories of motivation.
b. analyse and evaluate how effectively these motivation theories could be applied to your chosen client organisation.
c. analyse the ability of your chosen client organisation to manage change, based on any two change-related theoretical models, using relevant examples from that organisation.
• Appropriate theories and examples from your case study organisation.
• Correct use of the ‘command’ terms in the task.
• Supporting explanation and analysis with evidence from wider reading, own experience and module resources.
• References in accordance with The UCEM Guide to Referencing and Citation.
