Preparation for Assessment: Contemporary Evidence, Guidance, and Frameworks

• Provide an analysis of end of life care in your home country compared to that in the UK underpinned by

contemporary evidence, guidance and frameworks

• Critically discuss and benchmark care – sustaining and justifying arguments; underpinning with relevant= evidence, guidelines and frameworks; making recommendations for improvements in line with best practice and evidence.
• Please do not attach any appendices as these will not be marked.
• This assessment will test the following module learning outcomes-
• 1. Critically examine the theory and policy that informs current understandings of end of life care
• 2. Evaluate health care provision in the management of end of life care
• 3. Critically evaluate current end of life care frameworks

PREPARATION FOR THE ASSESSMENT

• We will be discussing your assessment throughout the module study sessions when you will be asked to consider how the theory relates to your specific work.
• All study sessions will be relevant to your assessment, although you will choose to focus on specific topics.

Any additional work over this limit will not bemarked. An assignment significantly under the word count of 3000 is unlikely to have met the assessment brief. The assignment should be word processed in font Calibri or Arial size 11 and double lined spaced (unless you have been given other guidance due to specific learning needs).

Referencing following the APA 6th edition is required. Please ensure accurate referencing. Sections of work which are not appropriately referenced will be highlighted and may affect your grade. Any suspicion of plagiarism will be managed as per the University regulations.

Marking is anonymous, therefore please do not include your name or student number on your submission.
