Critically examine the role of imagination in creativity, and of creativity in learning. Consider how this understanding might be developed in the context of your classroom practice or in your understanding of how educators need to embed creativity into their practice.

2.A critical discussion of creativity, imagination and learning based on the literature (+/- 1500-1750)

Define terms and make the link between creativity and Imagination. Use a range of ideas from the literature. 
Explain how learning and creativity may be associated. Draw on overarching ideas about Education, its aims and on Learning Theories where needed. Analyse some similarities and differences. Discuss Big C and Little c of creativity and the idea of implementing creativity in schools or education contexts to enhance learning opportunities. Draw on the literature. 

Take a position on which one you favour and consider how they relate to promoting creativity and imagination. 

Outline Egan’s types of understanding and his concept of cognitive tools to support creativity in the classroom or education contexts you are learning about. How does it relate to a learning environment?

Use Egan’s cognitive tools to promote imagination in one area of understanding considering how you will use creativity to develop learning through your own reflections and considerations, or by exploring a series of lessons. Explain your choice and how you will use this in your education context or future education contexts. Outline what was done, use images, interviews, observations where appropriate. Critically analyse and evaluate how effective the cognitive tools can be utilised to support the learning and teaching.
