Total quality management is a convention of views and ideas for improving and developing quality of services and products and also or commonly known as “management philosophy”. Its main agenda and role is for survival and satisfaction of customers. 3.0    TQM Guru Deming's Signals/Principles and their Contribution.
Dr. W. Edwards Deming being of the American who went to Japan has emerged to be the most prominent guru of quality management and he is commonly referred to “Deming Cycle”. His 14 signals and principles can be applied to large as well to small organisations private, public or even in to service sectors. The 14 principals and their contributions are explained as below
 
Build a good constant of purpose to improve products and services. This is done by using long-term plans rather than short term plans so one has to replace the existing short to long terms hence making a sustainable promotion of the products and services being needed by the customers. Adopt the new philosophy. Embracing new-fangled procedures and means for refining a good quality; Managers at the top ought to actually accept the ‘quality philosophy’, then expecting the normal the labor force to do it. Come to an end to depending so much on inspection. Good quality will not be found in inspection make as it is not reliable, not cost friendly not effective hence making us wise to depend on developing and maintaining quality rather than inspecting them.
