Giving Report Information is constantly being exchanged in hospitals and clinics. Because of this, it is imperative to be able to relay information correctly, professionally, and in order of significance. In this assignment, students will report to the on-coming staff member via YouTube video presentation. The YouTube link and a short paper identifying the rationale each of the pieces of pertinent information included in the report and the prioritization of this information will be uploaded to the Dropbox.
You are to complete this assignment individually. Please note: each part of this assignment will be uploaded into separate Dropbox folders - identified in the instructions.
You are required to submit a video recording of you giving report. The assignment offers an authentic learning experience and will help you to develop important communication skills essential in the workplace, verbal and non-verbal. Value: 5%.
1. Read the marking rubric.
2. Use the -Script For Giving Report" document (attached) and practice how you will report to the on-coming Unit Clerk.
Criteria to consider:
a. What information is considered priorhy?
b. What information is considered less important?
c. How do I say the abbreviations and times aloud?
d. Am I expressing myself in an organized manner?
e. Do I look and sound professional when presenting this information?
3. Create a short video of you giving report to the on-coming Unit Clerk for the next shift. Read and follow the 'How to Create A YouTube Account" document (attached) as this will explain in detail exactly how to upload your video. You can publish your video as "Public' or 'Unlisted". If you publish your video as "Private" your instructor will not be granted access to view your video. Therefore, they will be unable to grade your assignment.
4. Copy & paste the YouTube link into a Word document. Upload to Dropbox folder titled "Part 1 Giving Report Video'. If you're uncomfortable with posting an "unlisted" video to social media. please discuss an alternative video method with your instructor.
It is important to understand why particular information is included in report. The more knowledgeable you are in regards to what pertinent information is and what it means to the role of the Unit Clerk the better prepared you'll be for your shift and the better prepared your colleagues will be for their shifts. Value: 10%.

3. Review the marking rubric once again to ensure you have completed all of the required criteria.
