Earthquakes are recognized as one of the most terrifying and costly catastrophes that can offer a grave threat to a nation’s infrastructure, population, economy, and social structure. Most of the casualties happened during the earthquake due to a lack of awareness and preparedness and poor engineering design and plans to prevent these terrible events. The following are identification of related risks and their impacts are classified as high, medium and low also, relevant measures to be taken are listed following the table.

1. What can a GC do to mitigate seismic risks?
