1. You are on a union team that is preparing to negotiate the renewal of a collective agreement that will expire in six months. Describe the factors that the union should consider when preparing for negotiations. (Chapter 8)

2. Explain five factors that could affect the incidence of strikes. (Chapter 9)

3. Explain if and when an employer is allowed to dismiss an employee for innocent absenteeism. (Chapter 10)

4. Explain three distinctive features of labour relations in the public sector. (Chapter 11)

5. Explain some of the reasons why the younger generation do not see unions as meeting their needs. What are some of the actions that unions are undertaking to change these opinions. (Chapter 12)

1. The final exam is 25% percent of your final mark.

2. Please submit your exam on Moodle no later than 11:59pm on Saturday July 24th, 2021. You must put your name, student number, and class section number on the paper. I will not accept any late exam submissions. You will receive a mark of zero if I didn’t receive it at that time.

3. Do not email me for guidance, clarification, or help. This is your final exam and like a regular exam, you need to complete this without my help. Utilize other resources like the Internet, your textbook, college resources that may help you with writing papers etc.
