Archaeological Process: Practicum Assessment
Cultural Background Study
- Does the archaeologist learn/know about the background of the area including the geography and culture?
Field Survey
- Does the archeologist do a good job at scanning the area or identifying anappropriate area to conduct an excavation?
Site Specific Assessment
- Does the archaeologist use appropriate tools during excavation?
- Did they run into any problems? How did they fix them?
Mitigation
- What does the archaeologist do to mitigate the environmental or cultural impact of the dig?
