Creating a Return-to-Work Plan: HR Manager's Assignment

For this assignment, you are to assume the role of an HR manager for your workplace. One of your employees has been injured and you�re interested in creating a return to work plan for this injured employee. You�re going to need to do a little research through articles, textbooks, WorksafeBC and/or other WCB websites, virtual lecture, and etc�, to gain a full appreciation of a Return-to-Work (RTW) program. Please remember to be mindful of the jurisdictions of legislation: US law and/or programs may not be appropriate for BC. The same goes for other provinces, a procedure/process in Ontario may not be appropriate in British Columbia�so be watchful of that. You will select ONE of the following scenarios to use as the basis of your RTW plan. The injury scenarios are listed at the end of this assignment criteria. Components of the Assignment: Describe the injury, how it happened, and any potential limitations to work. Describe how you can retrieve (or obtain) information concerning the injury, who is involved in creating the plan, and describe who needs to be kept informed/communicated regarding this process. Create a formal Return to Work Plan for the injured employee. Other Items: Describe how the RTW plan will be rolled out and maintained.
