What’s It Mean? Implications for Consulting Psychology.
This article focuses on the challenges and key learnings for advancing women leaders in corporations from the perspective of the personal career journey of a senior female executive in a large multinational organization. Consulting psychologists should find the case discussion and supporting OD framework useful in linking D&I efforts to the broader context of culture change and talent-management programs and processes.
Commitment to diversity can be achieved by organizational leaders at all levels who actively seek to improve their own performance and their organization’s performance through more intentional inclusion of people from different segments of society. Leaders can increase the number of minority individuals—which can include people with disabilities; women; veterans; members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (or queer) community; and individuals from racial or ethnic groups—and the organization’s climate and culture with positive organizational outcomes by committing to better, more inclusive decision-making and leadership practices.

Your essay will address these questions within its body paragraphs. Your essay will be in APA format, and will include a references list that includes any sources used. Use the University Library for your research. The Purdue Owl website will help for format, citing and referencing. Your essay should include 4-5 credible academic references.
Step 4 (Part 2) : Now write a business letter to your employer. The purpose of the letter is to explain why diversity is important in the workplace and to recommend actions the organization can take to become more diverse. Remember the differences between academic writing (part 1) and business writing (part 2) that you have read about in this unit.
