Review the grading rubric provided in Brightspace for further details of the requirements of the paper and how marks will be assigned. The suggested length is 1,200 to 2,000 words, excluding the title page, references, and any appendices you include. The document should be doublespaced.
Go to the following PubMed website of PubMed: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed Conduct a literature search and write a literature review about the development, implementation and use of electronic medical/health records in Canada. You may choose to focus specifically on a particular theme as it interests you (i.e., primary care, hospitals, panCanadian EHR, etc.), or you may choose to focus broadly on the status of electronic health records in Canada. However, the articles you choose should have clear linkages to one another.
NOTE: When searching in PubMed, after selecting your search terms and hitting the “Search” button, you will have a list of articles and a menu on the left-hand side. Choose the option for “free full text available” from the menu for freely available articles.
From the collection of articles you retrieve, select five (5) articles to include in your literature review. The articles should have some linkages or shared themes, rather than be related to entirely different topics. Articles should be peer-reviewed and from within the last five years.
Older articles may be used in moderation if accompanied with an explanation as to why they are still pertinent.
Write your literature review, keeping in mind the characteristics of a literature review as outlined in the course material.
