Applying Hospitality Management Course Materials to a Real-Life Incident

The purpose of this assignment is to apply the course material that you have learnt so far in the class, Hospitality Management to a real life incident.

Find a real life example (news article, safety incident report, work bulletin, etc.) of a Food Safety incident OR a Workplace Safety incident.

Type a 1-2 page paper, explaining the following:

What happened?

If food safety related, what type of hazard was present?

If work safety related, what type of injury occurred?

Where did it happen? (what department/area of the food service operation did the incident occur)

1. Who did it happen to? (what position/role did the person hold)
2. How did it happen? (What was the root cause)

If the article does not describe the exact cause, please elaborate on what you predict happened based on the materials learnt in class.
