  • You will be working in small groups (minimum 3/4 to maximum of 5 per group).  
  • Your group will be acting as a strategic crisis management committee charged with developing an overall strategy for one of the Contemporary topics as listed.  First served basis for requests to the instructor in the beginning of the course.
  • You will have March weeks to prepare for your presentation.
  • You will be turning in a written report of your policy (see outline below) and presenting your policy through a 6 slide summary PowerPoint online(maximum of 6 slides).  One page summary hand-out summary on your topic area for upload.  
  • DUE DATE: Weeks 5- 7 at scheduled online class time per the course outline as dated. First served basis for requests for topics to the instructor for H&T topic presentation.
  • The FINAL written report will be worth 30 value points (Strategic Crisis Management Critique), and the presentation will be worth total 20 points (including PowerPoint summary uploaded online).

Group Leader (it will be your responsibility to make sure group members are contributing equally, work is being divided fairly, and that you’re on track for finishing by the due date): All participants will receive the same group grade, you must be an active online as a team.

NOTE* All group participants will receive the same grade unless there is a written and tracked analysis of the team performance measurements – should a group have difficulty with one or more members online performance, early alert warnings must be given in writing amongst the group via email with copy to the professor.  Should the group not be able to perform effectively in a timely manner then the instructor may be approached for individual assessment – advance notification at least two weeks prior to any assessments must be pre-arranged!

Recommended Work Plan:

  • Chosen topic area and Figure out plan of project strategy for week 5 written report
  • Divide responsibilities and sections of report areas to be researched for course
  • Create a master template of report strategy and research opportunities of topic area
  • Share what individual members or teams have been working on/overview weekly
  • Present DRAFT plan to professor for project overview and final applied strategies
  • Determine how individual pieces are connecting; check where things worked on independently fit or don’t fit with what others have done- email the instructor
  • Bring all your resources together for one cohesive report due for discussion report

End of March – DUE per course outline April – Presentations per course outline

  • Share progress; determine what else is needed for final to present Topic area PPT slides
  • Determine who will be responsible for putting together the final PowerPoint for topic area upload the powerpoint presentation for April class online  

Written and formal research online powerpoint presentation and paper on the current lessons learned and applied to a situational analysis of the Text book topics as given.  

Minimum of three (3) PARTICIPANTS Maximum of five (5) PARTICIPANTS per group.

Plan on meeting with your Professor with your entire group (or quorum) at least twice in the semester to ensure that your group is on target with proposed and progressive research plan!
