Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, tentree International is a company that catches a Millennial’s attention. It commits to ten trees planted for every product purchased, whether that be directly from its online store, or from one of its over 300 retail partners. By planting millions of trees, tentree is providing employment, protecting wildlife, restoring eco-systems, and educating locals, as well as providing wood for fuel, cooking, and building in impoverished areas. tentree also has partnerships across the world to help identify areas that can benefit from planting trees.
Dave Luba and Kalen Emsley are co-founders of the Regina-based lifestyle clothing brand. For every item sold, Ten Tree and its partners plant 10 trees. The company’s inspiration came from the two enjoying and appreciating the outdoors. They wanted to produce a company that would allow students to give back to the environment in order to sustain it.
