Lastly you will need to suggest a Return to Work program for the employee. Case study You are a human resource professional for Engineered Air. One of the full-time assemblers has had an accident using equipment while working on the duct production line. The accident has left the employee with one broken arm and a concussion. An investigation is required and lack of training may have been an issue. Explain the purpose of the relevant Act. Summarize the duties that an employee and employer have when an accident has occurred in the workplace. As you have been informed of the accident, refer to the relevant Act and outline what the next steps should be. Ensure your answer includes how to deal with the injured employee as well as how to handle the employee’s workload while he/she is away from the workplace. Recommend how you can manage the Return to Work program for the employee? Differentiate the type of direct and indirect costs that could be affiliated with this injury.
