Guidelines for Writing a Discussion Assignment in Nursing

Introduction and Format Requirements

1 Title page with title of paper, name of student, student ID, professor’s name, university, course, the numbers of the questions answered, date due, date submitted.  • Running Head: SHORT VERSION (50 CHARACTERS OR LESS) in Capitals.  • Only one title page and one reference list is needed for the assignment. Please indicate on your title sheet which questions you are answering.  A Table of Contents/Précis is not required

2 12pt font, typed with 1’’ margin on all sides, right side unjustified, double spaced, numbered pages, running head on title page and on each subsequent page, and appropriate use of page break. 

3 Typed discussion is 500 words , including an introduction and conclusion per question. 

4 Accurate sentence and paragraph structure, use of punctuation, spelling, correct grammar usage; no slang, jargon or clichés.

5 APA style citation of references as appropriate in the text of paper and in construction of the reference list (References). 

6 Articles used as references should be no more than five (5) years old (i.e., 2015) from the date of publication.  A mixture of refereed journal articles and textbooks should be selected. Use organizational website information sparingly as these sources are not necessarily accurate or current in the information provided. • You should have at least three (3) references for each answer. If you choose to use the course text, it is considered “extra”.
                    

Q1 Over the past few years, a new category of health care personnel called the “unregulated health care worker” has evolved. Discuss this concept and the pros and cons of such a role, including issues such as delegation.
