In this assignment, we want to combine purpose with practice by exploring some of the elements that make up an OH&S program. ? A brief statement describing the nature of the organization’s business (e.g., what industry is it in? What product or service does it produce or provide?).
? What are 2 important goals of an OH&S program? Why is it important to implement one?
? List four elements, or components, of an OH&S program that will be top priorities for the organization. Ensure you choose elements that are identified within the new OH&S legislation.
? Describe in your own words each of the four elements highlighting the positive impact each element is expected to have on your organization when it is implemented effectively (i.e., What is it? What is the element expected to achieve? Why is it important?). ***Don’t tell me “because it will make us safer” – that is implied ?***
? Identify in the readings the 4 key factors for success when implementing the program within your organization. What is critical to have in order to be successful?
