Consider the following questions and directives when creating your summary and critique: What are the main points or arguments of the article? What types of claims are made? How does the author support those claims? What conclusion does the author draw from this article? Who is the author and what authority does he have on the topic? Who is the audience for this article, and what is the tone presented (consider modals discussed in Chapter 7)? Which rhetorical devices(Ethos, Pathos, Logos) and logical fallacies appear in the article? Critique the article by adding your own comments to support or refute the arguments presented by the original author.
