Individual Report on Class Project: Structure and Components

Each student will be responsible for writing an individual report about the class project. Total length should be between 6-9 pages long, including the title page and reference page.

Introduction (1.5 pages): Write an introduction to the paper. You will be required to use at least three of the articles from your Literature Review to explain why we decided to do this research.  In this section, you will explain why this is an important topic (use the articles) and restate the research question. 

Explain the type of research that was conducted 

Quantitative vs qualitative

Inductive vs deductive

Define the concepts of the question (you will need to cite and reference your definitions)

Name and explain the data collection process

Sampling method

Data collection method

Explain how we ensured we were conducting ethical research

Confidentiality

Anonymity

Informed Consent 

Explain the data analysis process and results

Provide a pie chart of the frequency distribution of student status (international and non-international) and explain it in a paragraph

Explain the results of the research

What does the research tell us? 

Were any assumptions you had before you analyzed the data correct?

What variables did we not account for in the research?  How might they have impacted our study?

Explain the strengths and weaknesses (limitations) of the study.  What would you do differently next time as a result?

What next steps in research would you recommend on this topic?
