How to Create a Business Proposal PowerPoint Presentation

Selecting an Audience

Select any topic from the topic list provided.  
• Notice that each topic asks you to “select an audience”. In other words, choose the audience you wish to persuade.  
• After presenting your analysis, persuade your audience to accept your three recommendations.  
 
1. Outline and Reference Page (10%) We’ve been using a particular format for an outline. I want you to follow that format. You’ll need to complete your research before attempting the outline. All research should be documented with APA in-text citations and each citation needs an APA reference page entry.Would it be wise to include the course textbook in your research? Yes, it would! 
I hope to provide feedback on this that you can incorporate into your PowerPoint submission. 
 
2. PowerPoint Presentation (15%) You don’t have to use the design of the template but the key features within it should be present. Review the PDF for the week in which we discussed PowerPoint design for more guidance.  
 
The PowerPoint should include:  • a cover slide, with all the information noted in the template.  
o Notes section should include suitable introductory remarks for this project 
• an agenda slide  
o Notes section should include short notes on each agenda point 
• a minimum of six slides – maximum of nine slides – representing the content of the presentation, including APA in-text citations ON EACH SLIDE 
o Notes section for each slide should include complete information that needs to be presented.  
• at least one data chart with quantifiable data and a detailed explanation in the notes section 
• one or more final slides which reproduce the reference page containing your source information (APA format).  
 
Notes: 
Every PowerPoint slide should have content in the notes section. What are notes? The notes are like a script – if you were not available and someone else had to present, the notes would provide the full detail of what should  be said when the slide is on the screen.  
o I should see 100-200 words in the notes section in slides 3 – 6-9. 
o I should see at least one APA in-text citation per every 100 words in the notes area.

Pick three or four teammates. Each team should have no more than five members.  
• Enroll your team in a group. Communication >> Groups >> Business Proposal – Final Team Presentation 
• If you are not a member of a team by noon on Friday November 26, eCentennial will automatically place you in a team.  
• Present your fabulous global business analysis and recommendations to your team. Use the PowerPoint to support your presentation.   
• The team will vote on which analysis and recommendations they wish to present.  I recommend using an online polling tool, such as SurveyMonkey or PollEverywhere for this to ensure anonymity.  
• After preparation and rehearsal, your team will record the presentation. Bring all your best presentation skills to convince your audience that they should accept the recommendations you are offering.   
• The video should include your team and your Powerpoints. 
• The video should be more than five minutes and less than 10 minutes long.
