You will use all of the course learning objectives throughout the semester to complete this assignment. Students will examine and report the current major topic in esports: Diversity and Inclusion.

 

Due Date: November 8th - 11:59PM Value (15%)

 

This assignment is worth (value 15%) of your course grade.

 

Course Learning Outcomes (LOs)

 

This assessment aligns with the following LOs:

 

1) Analyze the influence that major stakeholders in the esports industry such as esports franchise holders, brands, sponsors and distributors have in driving industry growth, innovation and continual structural changes.

 

2) Evaluate the strategies used by organizers of local esports competitions and events at professional, semi-professional and amateur levels to market and deliver experiences that appeal to esports participants.

 

3) Recommend strategies that teams, franchises, athletes and brands can utilize to entice and actively engage esports participants and grow their brands internationally.

Esports is one of the most accessible industries in the world with billions in reach. Organizations and Companies have a role to play in shaping future generations. Through this assignment, you will be examining diversity and inclusion in esports.

 

This assessment requires you to research and discuss the current events in esports around diversity and inclusion. You will create a presentation as a company or organization to show your findings and explain your plans to fight the battle on the topic. Please submit as a written document or Powerpoint presentation and follow the instructions below.

 

How to Complete This Assessment (Instructions):

 

In a Presentation Format of your choice you must complete the following:
? Examine the current ethical issues in esports in regards to Diversity & Inclusion
? Address the concerns in the global esports industry
? Discuss current events in esports in relation to diversity and inclusion (1)
? Identify how team/organizations/publishers are addressing diversity and inclusion (1)
? Compare your findings with one other team/organization/publisher in esports
? Identify the impact of the current business trends on the future impact it will have on the esports ecosystem
? Debate the predominant issues within the esports industry and create a possible additional solution for diversity and inclusion
?Create an action plan that an organization could use in a real life scenario to encourage diversity and inclusion in their company.
