Read the Introduction (pp. 1-11) of our text, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, and provide examples to explain why the author thinks that eating has become a dilemma for us. Online go to Assignments and read APA Format: The Basics, to learn how to cite sources in your work. Submit electronically your completed assignment (see below). 1. In The Omnivore’s Dilemma, Michael Pollan claims that: “As a culture we seem to have arrived at a place where whatever native wisdom we may once have possessed about eating has been replaced by confusion and anxiety.” (Pollan, 2007, p. 1) a. Find at least two different pieces of evidence (i.e. brief quotes) from the Introduction (pp. 1-11) and explain how the author believes each contributes to our confusion and/or anxiety about eating. b. End with a brief conclusion (i.e. evaluate your evidence). c. Confine your answer to 1 page maximum of double-spaced text; use complete sentences; no point form. Text beyond one page will not be graded. d. Provide a citation for each in-text quote in APA format (see APA Format: The Basics on how to do this correctly), then give your explanation, which is the important bit. e.
