1. Evaluate your personal and professional values related to your role as an ECE to formulate your philosophy of ECEC pedagogy.

3. Create a professional portfolio that meets the requirements for initiating and maintaining professional registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators.

Submission Criteria

· Collate all documents into one either Word or PDF file

· Submit in the SLATE Assignment box by the due date.

· Do not attach rubric; you will be assessed on electronic rubric available in SLATE and attached to the Assignment folder

Purpose

· To write a professional philosophy reflecting your views and values related to the profession of ECEC (use the course text-book)

· To complete the following of the College of Early Childhood Educators Continuous Professional Learning Portfolio Cycle

o Step 1: Complete Expectations for Practice Module (CECE website)

Step 2: Complete self-assessment tool and create a Professional Learning Plan for your first year of practice (use the forms found on the CECE website
