Template
Personal Research Notebook/Journal Template Over the course of the semester, students maintain a personal research journal based on the topics discussed during class. This is to develop and enhance the student’s knowledge on the subject and which research group(s) around the world is leading the industry, academia or government. There should be two papers from a peer reviewed scientific journal for each topic, unless I say in class that popular press or internet information can be used. The journal is to be handed in on April 7th , 2016 (inclass). The following template for the notebook should be used for each scientific paper. You may keep the same species as a theme throughout if you want but not necessary. The objective of the research notebook is to enrich your thought and background of the topic of the week:
For each peer reviewed science paper and article you should include
1. Title , source (journal and authors facility, snap shot of title see below)
2. Any references to look up (only science papers). One only that interests you
3. Current problems (big picture)
4. Possible solutions
5. Personal solution
6. Pose questions that you feel were not discussed
Please use these headings as outlined and a maximum of one page for each paper.
