1. (5 marks) Identifies and describes the message of the ad (i.e. what the ad is trying to say to viewers). Roughly 0.5 to 1 page in length.
2. (15 marks) Identifies and describes 3 concepts learned in the course that were used in the ad to help get the ad’s message across to viewers. 5 marks for each course concept – roughly 0.5 to 1 page in length for each course concept.

In this assignment, you will analyze an advertisement/commercial of your choice. You will find a video or print ad that interests you, identify "the message in the ad" (i.e., what the ad is trying to say to consumers/viewers) and explain how 3 concepts learnt in class were employed in this advertisement to encode the message that you identified.

Writing style: American Psychological Association (APA) or any other recognized writing style (e.g. MLA, Chicago style, etc). Paper length: 4-5 pages (do not exceed this page limit).
