Movement of Students to and from the Pool

Question 1 Singapore has moved into Phase 3 (Heightened Alert). You are the Head of Department of Physical Education in an international school that has an Olympic swimming pool onsite. The Principal has been given the permission to resume swimming classes for the current 9-year- old students.  There are 30 students in a class of 1 teacher and 1 teaching assistant. The Principal suggested having a ratio of 1 adult to every 5 students during the swimming lessons. You are allowed to tap into the Parent Volunteers’ network to meet this ideal ratio. There is NO lifeguard on site. There will only be 1 swimming instructor per 10 students. You have been tasked to develop the following: (a) A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for movement of students to and from the pool.  pool. (35 marks) It needs to be as detailed as possible. Covering every aspect of the activity including those below. > who is in charge etc - to and from the pool - students from classroom movement out till reach the pool and back to school - must cover minute students leave classroom to the pool and back to classroom - can have parents in class but parents cannot be in the pool, only swimming instructor > washing up - toilet - wash up or just change or both? Must state. > dehydration - what to do so they won't be dehydrated (b) A Medical Action Plan (MAP) in the case of any emergency. (45 marks) Refer to iStudyguide provided in the attached documents.
