Procurement Route and Contract Form Recommendation for Airport HQ Building and Offices - Report to C

A new international airport has been constructed on the outskirts of a large city and plans have been approved for the development of prestige offices on adjacent land.

The client, who are a major airline operating through the airport is looking for a new headquarters building on this development. To attract other occupants to the office development, restaurant, café and banking facilities are also to be provided.

The airline is looking for the use of the latest technologies and approaches in the design of its building and is concerned with having a flexible, functional use of the office space. There is a time restriction on when the offices should be available. This is mainly influenced by the arrival into the country via the airport of delegates from across the globe for an international summit. 

Prepare a report to the client recommending the most appropriate procurement route and form of contract for the development. You should provide a critical analysis accompanied by reasoned justification for your recommendations. Your analysis should include a brief review of the other two main routes as a way of discounting them. Your report should include a critical analysis of the following:

1.the most appropriate procurement route. 

2.the most suitable form of contract. 

1.Demonstrate knowledge and critical understanding of the procurement options for development projects and methods for selecting consultants and contractors.

2.Demonstrate the ability to use standard forms of contracts effectively, selecting appropriate contract clauses.

3.Critically analyse various scenarios and legal cases and develop reasoned arguments to explain the appropriateness of different approaches.
