Assignment Instructions: Writing Your Individual Assignment
Answered

Task

Formative elements of this assignment require group work; however, written elements, for submission to assess learning on the module, must be completed individually.

You must use the Harvard referencing system.

Your work must indicate the number of words you have used. Written assignments must not exceed the specified maximum number of words. When a written assignment is marked, the excessive use of words beyond the word limit is reflected in the academic judgement of the piece of work which results in a lower mark being awarded for the piece of work (regulation 6.74).

Assignment submissions are to be made anonymously. Do not write your name anywhere on your work.

Write your student ID number at the top left side of every page.

Where the assignment comprises more than one task, all tasks must be submitted in a single document.

You must number all pages; the page number is to be inserted at the top right side of every page.

In order to achieve full marks, you must submit your work before the deadline. Work that is submitted late – up to five working days after the published submission deadline - will be accepted and marked. However, the element of the module’s assessment to which the work contributes will be capped with a maximum mark of 40%. Work cannot be submitted if the period of 5 working days after the deadline has passed (unless there is an approved extension). Failure to submit within the relevant period will mean that you have failed the assessment.

Requests for short-term extensions will only be considered in the case of illness or other cause considered valid by the iCentre Adviser. Please contact [email protected]. A request must normally be received and agreed by the iCentre Adviser in writing at least  hours prior to the deadline. Mitigation: The deadline for submission of mitigation in relation to this assignment is no later than five working days after the submission date of this work. Please contact Individual students who defer submission will ordinarily be asked to work alongside a different group, and likely do different work, for their retake/resit submission.

A healthcare system is a complex, dynamic network of organisations and agents working collaboratively for the health and wellbeing of a region. However, different healthcare systems maybe take different approaches in the way in which they operate. A study of different healthcare systems forms the basis for understanding factors which contribute to healthcare outcomes and in so doing, students will be able to identify ways of implementing best practice(s). During the study of this module, students explore, compare and contrast different healthcare systems and their methodologies.

The World Health Organisation acknowledges that optimal healthcare cannot be delivered simply by ensuring the existence of infrastructure, medical supplies and healthcare providers. The improvement of health service delivery requires a deliberate focus on quality of health services. Improved quality encourages better healthcare outcomes and allows strategies to be built into place for local, national and international healthcare systems.

Sharing of the lessons learnt and implementation of changes improves patient health outcomes. The Board of Directors at Barts Health NHS Trust have asked you to provide PowerPoint slides tonillustrate examples of poor service delivery affecting health inequalities and maken recommendations to reduce these health inequalities at Barts Health NHS Trust. The Board of Directors will use your analysis to make changes to how health services are delivered at Barts Health NHS Trust.

These slides should be a critical analysis of Barts Health NHS Trust.

Students Must
