Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Assignment

What am I required to do in this assignment?

The assignment focuses on corporate innovation and entrepreneurship (CIE) and requires research, collection, compilation, critical analysis and creation of and reflection on ‘Patches’ stitched together by a common theme, crisis-driven innovation, to  presents an holistic and integrated solution.  

1.During the second half of the unit, you will need to research, identify and collect a series of patches on corporate entrepreneurship in context as the patches relate to a crisis situation, internal or external, that can lead to an entrepreneurial response(s).

2.You will then conceive the best way in which to stitch together the patches so they present an integrated and holistic response to the crisis in question, supported by quality academic theories, models and frameworks.

3.Drawing on the your critical analysis and evaluation of your collated patches, the final step of your task will be to reflect on the process of collating and stitching together information into a Patchwork that engages with CIE, completes the crisis-driven response, and aligns with the theme and assignment. You will present your analyses, findings and completed Patchwork, which should total 3,600 words (+/- 10%).

How do I produce high quality work that merits a good grade?

Here are some of the requirements we will be discussing in the assignment workshops:

• You need to complete the guided learning to develop your understanding of influential contributors
• You need to extend this through independent research using quality academic and practitioner sources
• You will apply theory in practice for critical, in-depth analysis in the context of the patches collected.
• Consider what are the main conclusions derived from in-depth analysis?
• Draw feasible inferences and conclusions that are directly actionable based on information from the patches.
• You must use in-text citations throughout to acknowledge others’ ideas in support of your critical analysis
• You must use the Harvard Style of Referencing.

A random sample of students will be called to attend a viva voce to check the authenticity of their work

How does this assignment relate to what we are doing in scheduled sessions?

A flipped classroom approach is used to allow practical application in scheduled workshops.  It is essential that you complete the guided learning detailed in the unit study guide in advance of the scheduled classes.

In scheduled sessions you will participate in group activities and discussions designed to provide the opportunity for you to develop a critical appreciation of how to orchestrate organizational systems across multiple levels of analysis to promote and sustain corporate innovation and entrepreneurship and to reflect on the integration of theory and practice in enhancing organizational performance.
