Part 1
Abdul and his friend Anna-Maria have decided to set up a business promoting concerts and events. They would like advice on the most appropriate business type for them, including advantages and disadvantages of each option, so that they can make an informed choice. In formulating your advice, you must give due to regard to the relevant cases and key legislative provisions.
Part 2
At what point does a display in a shop window become an offer to sell rather than an invitation to treat? Consider the cases of Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain v Boots Cash Chemists [1953] 2 WLR 427, Fisher v Bell [1960] 3 WLR 919, and Leftkowitz v Great Minneapolis Surplus Stores [1957] 86 NW 2d 689 in your discussion.
Part 3
With reference to key cases and legislation, explain what remedies are available to shareholders against the directors of a company.

The assessment is practice based and mimics issues which you may be required to deal with in practice and in capacity as a business manager. The assessment is broad based which means that it draws across a range of topics covered within the unit. You will be expected to work on your assessment for the duration of the unit applying your knowledge as the unit develops in content. There will be also be time allocated within the unit structure to discuss the assessment.
