Festival of Digital Transformation: Ways of Working in a Post Pandemic World - Educational Artefact

There has been significant digital and technological transformation which has impacted on the way we work, and this has influenced;

1. The way managers interact, communicate, support and guide employees
2. The way employees behave and interact with colleagues, customers, clients and their line managers
3. Provided support for agile and flexible working e.g., home working for some sectors, roles and professions; or supported the customer facing processes e.g., within hospitality, retail, the service sector

The organisers of a ‘Festival of Digital Transformation: Ways of Working in a Post Pandemic World’ has approached you to design an educational artefact (in the form of a reflection) for potential and current line managers based on one of the following topics (you choose one topic only);

1. The influence of technology and digital which supports the potential drawbacks and benefits of home working
2. The impact of technology and digital on employee well-being including potential drawbacks and benefits
3. The influence of technology and digital in the creation of inclusive working practices
4. How technology and digital supports flexible and agile working practices
5. A review and critique of the digital skills required for the post pandemic employee
6. How digital and technology support ethical and socially responsible working practices

To address this question, you should consider the following;

The impact technology has on the behaviour of employees

The ways technology can support the way employees complete their job tasks

The ways technology supports the role of a line manager in being inclusive for all employees

There is evidence of descriptive insight and unearthing the nuances of the secondary data and its’ implications for policy, best practice and or challenges for the chosen area of research. It has some contemporary relevance. The literature indicates some awareness of the relationship with the secondary data and the artefacts. There is evidence there is some educational value of the artefact designed for line managers.

There is evidence of a detailed and deeply insightful content analysis drawing from a multiple range of secondary data sources. There is evidence of insight and unearthing the nuances of the secondary data and its’ implications for policy, best practice and or challenges for the area of research. It is contemporary and relevant. The literature has been evaluated indicates some depth and critical of the relationship with the secondary data and the artefact. There is evidence of some connectivity between the artefacts and the literature (theory), this includes insights and evidence of original thought.

There is evidence of a detailed and deeply insightful content analysis drawing from a multiple range of secondary data sources. There is evidence of insight and unearthing the nuances of the secondary data and its’ implications for policy, best practice and or challenges for the area of research. It is contemporary and relevant. The literature is evaluated indicates a deep and critical of the relationship with the secondary data and the artefacts. There is evidence of connectivity between the artefact and the literature (theory), this includes insights and evidence of original thought, including creativity and novel approaches to presenting the artefact.
