Working in groups of 4/5 (no more than six team members), deliver a 10/15-minute presentation using appropriate examples that describe the challenges of studying an Undergraduate Business Management degree and thriving within professional practice. The presentation should explain the importance of effective academic skills development. You should select one skill that you believe is particularly important and give a detailed example of the actions that you would take to develop that skill.

As a minimum requirement, your group presentation should address the following:

• Introduce the area of key skills development
• Explain why it is important to develop professional and academic skills, and what benefits it will help to deliver over both your academic studies and professional career
• Identify and describe the challenges that you might expect to face during your academic course and how you intend to overcome them
• Discuss the importance of one particular skill that you will use in university and your career to help you overcome potential issues, with an explanation of why this particular skill will be of use in your academic and professional development
