Coursework 1 required the completion of a PESTEL analysis for a chosen firm and the industry it operates within. Using the data from the PESTEL analysis your second paper requires you to complete a SWOT analysis for the chosen firm and clearly identify the key drivers from the external and internal environments.
Using the key drivers from the SWOT analysis identified in portfolio paper 2 you are to now examine the ways in which these key drivers can impact upon TWO of the firm’s functional areas such as; Marketing, HRM, Operations, Finance, or R&D
LO 1 Obtain and interpret information relevant to an analysis of a firm's business environment.
LO 2 Assess the impact of government on the structure and operation of a business organisation.
LO 3 Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of changes in the business environment on business organisation and activity.

· This assessment takes the format of two 500 word, +/-10%, briefing portfolio papers, maximum of 8 pages from introduction to conclusion/recommendation, professionally produced report that would be suitable for use in the boardroom of a FTSE100 company.
· Front cover, executive summary, contents page, reference pages and appendices are NOT included in either the page count or the word count that have been allocated. Words used in tables, charts, diagrams are also NOT included in the word count. Note we do not expect to see any Wikipedia, Investopedia, Business Balls, Slide Share, and Essays4U, Term Papers or other spurious nonacademic non-reputable sources within your work or in the reference list. Font size should be 11 with single line spacing. Reference list should be presented in the Harvard format along with in text referencing and there is a maximum of 4 pages allocated to appendices should you need them.
