Assessment Task

You are required to submit a 1,500-word (+/- 10%) reflective essay in which you:

·Discuss the influences on your own and your team’s performance in the Film-Making Challenge you completed for assignment 1.* As you do this, show how a selection of theories you have studied during this module apply to and explain your experience and indicate any limitations in those theories when applied to your experience.

·Discuss your use of people management skills during the Film-Making Challenge, considering their application both face to face and online, and identify actions you could take to develop them further.

·Summarise your own key learning points from this reflection. Discuss how you could transfer this learning to working in organisations in the future.

* If you did not take part in the Film-Making Challenge, you may agree to select an alternative experience for your reflection with your tutor/ module leader. This may, for example, be an experience in the workplace (in a current or previous job).

D: Specific Criteria/Guidance

·Discussion of the influences on your own your own and your team’s performance. Application of theories to explain your experience.  (45%)

·Discussion of your own people management skills leading to identification of actions you could take to develop them further. (25%)

·Summary of your key learning points from this reflection. Discussion of how you could transfer your learning to working in organisations in the future. (25%)

·Written vocabulary and style, spelling, punctuation and syntax. Referencing. (5%)

F: Submission Guidance

·Students should submit work before 12 noon on the deadline date via the appropriate ‘Turnitin submission’ link on the Moodle module page. Please check your email confirmation to ensure you have submitted to the correct place.

·Assessments should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc and .docx) or PDF format (generated from the word-processing or presentation software you are using, not a scanned document. Do not upload Open Office documents (.odt, .odp).

·Do not upload documents directly from Google Drive and One Drive.

·The file must be no larger than 40MB.

G: Document Format

·You should write in the first person throughout this reflective essay.

·The font size must be a minimum of point 12 Calibri (or equivalent).

·Line spacing in the body of the assessment must be 1.5 lines.

·Include the following details written on the first page:

Title of your work

Module title and code

Your student assessment number (J Number). Do not write your name or your student number.

Word count (Please note penalties for excess word count)

Module Leader and Seminar Tutor (if relevant)

·Number the pages consecutively.
