Learning outcomes: LO1: Develop the ability to monitor, interpret and apply an integrated or systems approach to infrastructure engineering problems through know-how of the relevant technologies, their applications and modelling in order to bring about continuous improvement. LO2: Demonstrate to work with information that may be incomplete or uncertain and be aware that this may affect the design and apply problem-solving skills, technical knowledge and understanding to create or adapt design solutions that are fit for purpose including operation, maintenance, reliability etc. [Mapped to AHEP3 ID3 and ID4]

LO3: Exhibit knowledge and understanding of the commercial, economic and social context of engineering processes and awareness of risk issues, including health & safety, environmental and commercial risk. [Mapped to AHEP3 IELS2 and IELS6]

LO4: Demonstrate knowledge of quality issues and their application to continuous improvement of infrastructure engineering system (eg. operations and management, application and development of technology, etc) and ability to use relevant materials, equipment, tools, processes, or products. [Mapped to AHEP3 IEP1, IEP2, and IEP6] Submission of work Your completed work for assignments must be handed in on or before the due date. You must keep a copy or backup of any assessed work that you submit. Failure to do so may result in your having to repeat that piece of work. Your work must be submitted in the form of a report which is typed and stapled. Paper submission: Your assignment should be handed in at the student office on the ground floor of MI building. It should have a barcoded front cover (available via eVision) and be neatly presented, preferably in a suitable plastic cover. Any item handed in must have, clearly written on the front: your name and student number the module number, title and the module leader's name the date of submission Penalties for late submission of coursework Standard University arrangements apply. ANY late submission will result in the grade 0 NS being allocated to the coursework. Procedure for requesting extensions / mitigating circumstances This is done via eVision.
