Your task is to demonstrate to your audience during your mini-presentation that there is a direct link between your chosen topic and the THEME business issue. You will create a Power point outlining your Topic that illustrates a Case study or example(s) of how business has been affected by ASPECTS of the THEME
Your Powerpoint must Contain 5 sections: including 1,2,3 below which are non-presented sections:
1 Presentation Topic Justification
2 Literature Overview and
3 Analytical Framework
AND
4 Content Depth and Slideshow Impact – This will be 5-9 slides of presented material (see section 4 below)
5 Delivery: Personal IMPACT OF YOUR PRESENTATION
Why have you chosen this topic? Why is it of interest in business context of the past few years / months? How does this topic relate to is it RELATED TO THE Seminar theme and business decision making? What is the academic relevance of you topic? Why does it spark interest / controversy? Who is debating it?
Research: You must include in your submission a 200 word review of the sources for you presentation What sources have you used? Why are they relevant? – main sources usedHow do your sources link to create a Balanced perspective / Critique of your topic Types of source: Journalistic / News, Academic Book / online journal. This should not be a simple references list
Having briefly described your sources, HERE you will explain the Different Arguments you have considered to clearly demonstrate that you have considered different standpoints / perspectives. Have you drawn conclusions by Triangulation of perspectives.
Content Depth and Slideshow –Impact of Slides: 20% Too many points covered in a superficial manner are usually less effective than a few expressed in detail. Your points should be sufficiently well explained with EVIDENCE BASED ANALYSIS to ensure that they stand up to critique. Convince your audience by valid, clear & simple argument in a logical & understandable flow
