Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module, students should:

1. Critically evaluate how information systems implementations impact the organisation within the context of people, processes and technology

2. Critically evaluate the need for the integration of business and change management strategies to support information systems deployment 

3. Critically evaluate change management models and frameworks and their applicability to information systems driven change

4. Actively appreciate management issues involved in formulating and implementing managing change strategies in practice

In this current academic year students will be given the opportunity to undertake a module evaluation which will feed into the course board of studies meeting and will inform module design for the following year

Using academic and industry-based sources as your starting point, synthesise an effective framework for managing IS driven change in modern organisations.  Your framework should draw on multiple academic and industry-based sources, adopt a comprehensive perspective and be fully justified

Formulate your essay using relevant academic and practice-based research and case studies to support your views. Your aim is to critically evaluate your research and draw your own conclusions based on the question
