Aims and Objectives

Aims and Objectives. Aims are statements of intent. They are usually written in broad terms. They set out what you hope to achieve at the end of the project. Objectives, on the other hand, should be specific statements that define measurable outcomes, e.g. what steps will be taken to achieve the desired outcome.

In this section, you need to discuss your approach to research. A research method is a systematic approach plan for conducting research. This can be qualitative and/or quantitative research methods, incl8ding experiments, survey research, participant observation, and secondary data.

Literature Review (Current status)

A literature review is a search and evaluation of the available literature in your given subject or chosen topic area. It documents the state of the art with respect to the subject or topic you are writing about.

A literature review has four main objectives:

·It surveys the literature in your chosen area of study

·It synthesises the information in that literature into a summary

·It critically analyses the information gathered by identifying gaps in current knowledge; by showing limitations of theories and points of view; and by formulating areas for further research and reviewing areas of controversy

·It presents the literature in an organised way

Focus on a specific type of cloud service (i.e SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, CaaS etc.)

A case study is a research method to gain a better understanding of a subject or process. Case studies involve in-depth research into a given subject, in order to understand it’s functionality and successes.

Mostly importantly: case studies are stories. In particular, business case studies tell the story of how your product or service helped a person or a company achieve their goals.

This section should finish with a review of key findings and how you used this knowledge to take your project to the next step.

Make sure you use the HARVARD referencing system

The purpose of the discussion is to interpret and describe the significance of your findings in light of what was already known about the research problem being investigated and to explain any new understanding or insights that emerged as a result of your study of the problem.

Ethical Issues

In this section, you need to discuss all ethical, social, legal and security issues related to your product (following BCS terms and regulations).

Implications, Recommendations and Limitations

Implications basically refer to impact that your research might have on future research or policy decision or the relevant field of interest of your study. 'How will your research affect the targeted community or subject field' is the question that implications will answer. Recommendations are based on the results of your research and indicate the specific measures or directions that can be taken. For example, a clinical study might have implications for cancer research and might recommend against the use of a particular hazardous substance. Therefore, implications signify the impact of your research and recommendations might be concrete steps/actions that the research proposes.

Recommendations should be provided about how the product could be improved if further work was carried out.
