Discuss the characteristics of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS models in cloud computing.

Answer any two questions in this section. All questions carry equal marks (66 Marks available).
1. The wireless IEEE 802.11 Medium Access Control (MAC) layer covers three functional areas:
• Reliable data delivery;
• Access control;
• Security.
Discuss these three MAC functional areas in detail.
2. a) Describe seven steps that you may take to prevent web browser attack.
b) Describe the following network security terminologies:
• One factor, two factor and three factor authentications;
• Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS);
• Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME);
• Network Security Toolkit.
3. Web servers store the web pages and present them to the client upon request. Three web server attacks are named below:
• Input validation attack;
• Password-based attack;
• Session hijacking.
Discuss these three web server attacks in detail. Candidates are warned that possession of unauthorised materials in an examination is a serious assessment offence.
