Combining Topic 4+5: A Case Study on Beyond Meat

Assessment Overview

For Case Study, I would like to choose to combine Topic 4+5 to study the brand/company "Beyond Meat". And attach the case study which has combined topic4+5, that the tutor gave us before, for your reference.

The assessments for this module comprise an individual essay (50% of marks), and a case study (50% of marks).

The first assessment is an individual essay in the form of a journal article. Various arguments need to be explored and evidence produced from secondary research. All sources are required to be cited in the body of the article and a full reference list/bibliography displayed at the end of the work. A choice of essay titles from each of the topics taught on the course will be provided. Students will be expected to provide insight into the chosen topic using current debates and to produce an innovative contribution to the body of knowledge.

The second assessment is a case study. The case study you develop will combine TWO of the original essay topics to create a brand new topic for exploratory investigation. This new topic should be considered in relation to an organisationfindustry of your choice, which makes your case study unique. While not compulsory, it would seem pertinent to use your first assessment and knowledge you have gained, as the basis for your case study.

This assessment will develop a range of aspects from the course such as the marketing environment, customer research, services marketing, relationship marketing, social marketing and customer trends and developments in consumer behaviour. Students should read carefully the Format Guidelines below. The Essay is due in Week 9. The Case Study is due in Week 15.

Essay The essay must be written in the form of an article in an academic journal, rather than a simple, straightforward essay. A summary of the essay titles is provided at the end of the lecture information provided in section 4 of this study guide. You must prepare for the paper by exploring the various arguments, evidence etc. Writing it will require you to both be analytical, critical and reflective. All your references must be properly cited in the body of the article and noted at the end in a reference list or bibliography. (Section 5 gives details of the APA 7th Referencing System). Your final submission will be marked according to how well it satisfies a range of criteria as set out in the assessment criteria, outlined below.

Cover Sheet. Programme Name, Student Name, Matriculation Number, Module name and number, title of article First Page Abstract (no more than 100 words) followed by 4 key words underneath. Begin article with your introduction. Maximum Length:

10 pages (excluding front cover sheet and reference list). If a student's submission exceeds the maximum length, a P1 pass is the highest grade that will be awarded for the assignment. Activate Page Set Up: Margins all 2.5cm or 1 inch. Spacing set at 1.5 Go to Settings  Font Anal and size 12pt .

The second assessment requires you to write a short exploratory case study on an issue that combines tow different essay topics . Ideally, you would use your first assessment topic, and combine this with a different essay topic to create a newly identified 'research problem' to be investigated. To be effective, you must identify and stress key aspect of both the original essay topics. Then ensure you clearly identify the new topic  and it would be advisable to reinforce this by giving it as the aim of the paper. Remember, your new essay topic is exploratory secondary research and you need to ensure you show that you are combining two distinct lecture themes. This gives a strong foundation for your 'new topic' and gives better foundation for recommendations. The case study requires you to select an organisation/industry, which you will use in relation to your exploratory research on the new topic. It may be feasible to use the same organisation as in Assessment One however you are free to change and use any other organisation.
