Write an essay to discuss different types of information systems and how an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system can play a key role in managing and controlling organisation-wide informationstreams. In addition, provide an in-depth analysis of how ERP systems can enhance the data collection, organisation and dissemination capabilities of a business.

You are expected to:

• write an introduction and discuss the aims and objectives of this essay (300 words)

• discuss:

o categories of information systems (600 words)

o ERP systems (500 words)

o the benefits of ERP systems in a real-life business (300 words)

• write a conclusion and recommendations (300 words)
