The purpose of this assignment is to explore key aspects of negotiation and present an in-depth presentation around them. The presentation needs to be 10 minutes in duration as this will ensure the acquired academic knowledge and presentation skills can be assessed. Furthermore, the presentation must be submitted in Microsoft PowerPoint and include 1000-words of academically based notes, within the slides, which supports the presentation. Different academic sources must be used than those in the STRM060 AS1, all citations to include page number(s).
Learning Outcomes
The learning outcomes that are being assessed in this assignment are:
LO1: Evaluate theory based strategy relating to the principles of negotiation.
LO2: Explore evidence-based approaches relating to the skills needed to be an effective negotiator, including ploys and techniques.
LO3: Recognise ways of conducting negotaiation in a specific countery and identify appropriate good practice.
LO4: Academic referencing consistent with MBA Level 7 study.
The presentation needs to be based on quality academic critical analysis. It is particularly important to link the established concepts and theories together to bring a higher level of academic understanding. Try to be analytical and not merely descriptive. Finally, students should approach the presentation in a professional manner. Presentations should only be made using PowerPoint. Where possible the presentations would ideally be recorded on-site for moderation purposes. The presentations must be of excellent formatting standard and to the academic standards of MBA Level 7 study.
