If you have self-sourced or independently been given consultancy work or a project to work on by a live client or company (not an RGU placement)  you should work to complete the given project over a 4-week period as per the instructions provided by the client/company, and submit the work you produce to them.

You may wish to keep a daily diary of your project progress, your work practices and tasks completed, to help you with the module coursework assessment the Professional Industry Experience (PIE) Report, which can be found on (pgs. 5-7) of the CBM314 Module Handbook.

Coursework Submission Requirements for the (live client - external) project:

·Submit a 3000-word Professional Industry Experience (PIE) Report to the Coursework Assessment e-drop box on Moodle

·In addition - depending on the type of output the client/company requires from you and considering any confidentiality restrictions, you can append the output/content from the completed project to your report as an appendix, or you can include parts of it (e.g. screenshots, sample pages or other useful content) in the main body of your report, to contextualise your reflections and evaluations.

Coursework Submission Requirements for the (hypothetical client) project:

·Submit a completed client corporate report; upload as a supporting PDF to the Moodle coursework e-drop box.

·Submit a 3000-word Professional Industry Experience (PIE) Report to the PIE Coursework Assessment e-drop box on Moodle.

A self-evaluation of what you have learned/experienced during the 4-weeks you worked on the project. How did you plan and organise your time over the 4-weeks (i.e. how did you manage yourself and your time)? Which tools did you use (hardware, software, business analysis tools such as PEST, SWOT, books, databases etc.)? What types of communication skills did you encounter, or need? Which modules on your course were useful to you while completing the client project?

·Part C:  Personal Development Plan (20%)

A self-evaluation of your professional competencies and personal attributes before and after completing the client project.
